Here’s some tips to keep in mind when you come see us!
Please do NOT feed your dog day of grooming . Take your dog for a walk prior to leaving home for him/her to do their business.
Please pick up after your dog on shop grounds (we have bags).
Dog in season? please reschedule your appointment a few weeks in the future.
A quick happy "hand off" of your dog and then a quick departure – will be less stressful for your pet.
It is very normal for your dog to shake when coming into a dog salon. They are smart and once inside They know the drill, and are quite content, If your pet appears to be very stressed by grooming or your leaving, we will ask that you pick them up for the health and safety of your pet.
Be Realistic
If your pet has not been brushed/combed regularly at home and the hair is badly matted, you may have to compromise. Sometimes it is impossible to save a matted coat ! and de-matting a severely matted coat is painful to your pet. Your groomer can advise you if the humane approach is to clip underneath the mat.
Take time to talk with your groomer
Unless your pet is a regular and frequent client, don’t expect the groomer to know what you want. On your pet’s first visit with a groomer, allow extra time to talk to your groomer -- photos can be helpful. Great grooming takes time please expect pet to be here two to four hours depending on breed of pet and schedule of my day .
